I love productive weekends.  Being able to focus on one thing until I get it done is so satisfying- when it happens I actually feel like I’m somewhat organized.  Of course that’s merely an illusion, since my to-do list is about 8 miles long… but there’s not much that could be better than working on my wedding scrapbook to get my mind off of things, right?
Finishing my wedding scrapbook album was my main priority this weekend, and I’m quite pleased with the pages I was able to finish.  I did have a near melt down moment when my cricut failed to cut through some cardstock (I think I scared my husband… I don’t usually have mini-tantrums, and he didn’t quite know how to help), but I took a deep breath, watched downton abbey, and made a fresh start with some thinner patterned paper, resolving to give my cricut a little love and some new tools very soon.

Sometimes, I find myself trying to put some symbolism in my pages.  This one is titled Eternity, as you can see, so I added the watch gears to represent the time we spend on earth together, preparing for the time when we’ll be together forever.  I loved the picture for this page, since the focus is on my bouquet, and we are out of focus.  To me, that seemed to mean that our future is not discernible- we will have to pass through many unknown blessings and trials, but when we focus on Christ and each other, we will be blessed.  Love this page!
I thought the idea of using text as swirls of exhaust was so cute and fun, I couldn’t pass it up.  It was such a great way to use those going away pictures.
Now I have to think about what’s on the agenda for this next weekend.  Hopefully I’ll be able to get at least one more project done.
