Having a blog and sharing and learning things over the internet has given me the opportunity to “meet” a lot of different artists, and this in turn has provided me with many opportunities to practice and share my art.  The latest that I’ve been able to get involved with is a postcard swap, headed by artist Dawn Diamantopoulos.  She’s got some great art that I’ve really enjoyed, including her 365 series.  Check out her blog here.
Anyway, she started a postcard swap, and asked artists she knew online to get involved.  I joined a little late, but managed to wiggle my way in.  :)  Here is my first postcard.  I’d mention who I’m sending it too, but I don’t think I’m allowed.
I actually made a couple last night, but the other one, which I had such high hopes for, did not turn out at all well.  :(  I’ll have to try a different idea.
This one, I was pleased with, though.  It’s interesting, I was feeling a little annoyed last night, for one reason or another.  The fireworks were a direct result of how I was feeling, as well as the red splashes of color.  Of course, as soon as I finished my postcards I could barely remember why I was irritated.  Such is the power of art.  :)  Thanks for including me, Dawn!  I’m so excited to get my postcard in the mail!
