So I had some leftover quilled paper pieces from my large “Gaea” piece, and I decided to use them to make some of my awesome mini canvases. :) These are so useful when I want to try new techniques and experiment with different colors.
For these I used a variety of different techniques to add texture and dimension. The top and bottom one each have texture paste as the base for my paper pieces. The splatters and drips add some splashes of color to the plain white. The middle one I used a greater amount of acrylic paint- you can see chunks of yellow comingling with the orange color. I didn’t use texture paste for this one- just gel medium.

my favourite is the middle canvas, I love the brilliant yellows and the way that the paper pieces travel off the canvas to the edges.
