Hello everyone! It’s time for an update from Let’s Scrap Sketches. (Disclaimer: this post contains affiliate links which means I receive a commission from purchases made through the links.)
Here is the latest sketch.
Here is my take on this sketch. It feels like I took my interpretation a little further this time. Instead of a half circle in middle of the layout, I used several pieces of paper ephemera and used ink and modeling paste to add texture. It’s always fun to see how the original pattern alters after you sand a piece of paper and then ink and stamp all over it.
I used a lot of Bo Bunny and Tim Holtz embellishments on each page, and I love the detail they add- especially this little chipboard heart. The stamping on it and on the page beneath it really adds to the level of detail.
Come see how the rest of the DT interpreted the sketch. Also, if you’d like to play along you have two weeks to work on your own layout and upload it to the blog. Can’t wait to see you what you all come up with!
And don’t forget to check the blog on April 1st to see my next layout for the Design Team.
This is so amazing! I love to see what you did with mixed media. I am trying this out more and this is stunning! I really do love it!
Thanks for the inspiration.
Anjuli I love how you took the sketch and move way beyond with your awesome mixed media skills. Great double LO
Anjuli I just love this layout the red and white/cream papers brought together by the mm and the sandy colour at the bottom are just so striking. Your mixed media at the top is just lovely. This one was a sure fave for me. I just love it.
Love all the layers of techniques and paint and ink and sanding…love anything altered and I love it when it’s added to scrapbooking layouts!
Love, love, love the “grungy” feel of this, especially with all the metal bearings… it is really spectacular!!
